Thank you! My dry measuring cups are good. It’s the glass for the liquid measures. I have one that’s an Anchor Hocking and the other is a no name. I think I might purchase the Pyrex ones you use.

Hi Georgene! It also depends on if you’re measuring liquids or dry ingredients. If you’re measuring dry ingredients, the best way to tell is to measure it by weigh. For example, 1 cup
of all purpose flour weighs 120-125g. I would purchase a new measuring cup set if you’re not sure.

I have 2 different glass measuring cups that seem to be off as far as the measurements go. How do you know for sure the measurements are correct? One says 1c and the other says 1c but are actually almost 1/4c different! That affects a recipe quite alot!

You are just such a practical cook, I have not had to trek into the Amazon rain Forrest, or get a permit for Machu Picchu excursion to secure any ingredients in your dishes, which are all excellent! JJT

Love you and your recipes!!! You are always so upbeat!!
I did want to mention, though, I did watch your video on measuring. Just a tip that my mom taught me years ago: If you have things like PB or shortening to measure-say 3/4 c, fill a liquid measure cup to 1/4 with water, put in PB or other, water comes to 1c and you have 3/4 c solid. Yes! You really do! Then you don’t have to scrape it out with a spatula to be sure you have it all! (If you have a solid pound of butter, this works, but most of us now use premeasured sticks). (Oh! Don’t try this with sour cream. LOL! It won’t work)

Hi Michelle! I’m so glad you’re liking our recipes so far! I hope you get to try some very soon! I haven’t tried gluten free crepes, but I imagine its possible to make. If you experiment with a gluten free option I’d like to know how it goes. Also, if you find a recipe you like on my blog — I have substitution hints in the post and often my readers will post what they did to make it gluten free in the comments. Happy baking!

Hi Pilar! Thank you so much for your suggestion. If you scroll down to our printable recipe card, most of our recipes have a metric conversion option on the printable recipe card. We are currently working on adding metric measurements to all of our recipes, but it is taking some time to add them one at a time. Thank you so much for being patient! In the meantime, check out our post on measuring which should help.
